Rising From Brokenness: A Woman’s Guide to Wholeness in Christ

Brokenness. It’s a word many of us don’t like to use, but one that so many of us live with every single day. As women, we’re often expected to carry strength on our shoulders, be the nurturer, the provider, the peacemaker, the glue holding it all together. But what happens when the glue starts to crack? What happens when you feel like the one who is falling apart?
I know that feeling. The nights when you cry into your pillow, praying no one notices the tears. The mornings when you get up and put on your makeup like armor, hoping it hides the weight inside. Brokenness has a way of making you feel unseen, unworthy, and unfinished.

God does His best work with broken things.
Think about it, He took broken bread to feed five thousand. He used broken alabaster jars to release the fragrance of worship. And He takes broken hearts and turns them into testimonies of His healing power.

Wholeness doesn’t mean life will always be easy. Wholeness doesn’t mean you won’t cry, won’t stumble, won’t face disappointment. Wholeness in Christ means you no longer walk alone. It means the parts of your life that feel shattered are being held by the One who promises to make all things new.
How Do You Begin the Journey to Wholeness?
-
Be Honest With God.
Stop hiding behind the “I’m fine” mask. Tell Him how you really feel. Tears are prayers too. -
Release What You Cannot Carry.
Some burdens were never yours to hold. Lay them at His feet. Don’t pick them back up. -
Surround Yourself With Truth.
God’s Word has the power to reframe your reality. Every lie the enemy whispers can be silenced with Scripture. -
Let Healing Take Time.
Just as wounds need time to close, your soul also needs space to recover. Don’t rush the process, God heals layer by layer. -
Choose Grace Daily.
Wholeness isn’t about perfection. It’s about learning to stand in God’s grace every single day, even when you fall short.
Sister, you may feel broken today, but you are not beyond repair. What feels like the end is often the very place where God begins again.
So rise. Not in your own strength, but in His. Your story is not over.

REFLECTION: Where in your life do you feel broken, and how can you invite God into that space today?
This is part of my journey too. I share more about my own story of brokenness and grace in my book, His Grace, My Hope. If you’re ready to rise into wholeness, this book was written for you.
